Burrows and Badgers Catch Up

Burrows and Badgers, the ones I picked up at Vapnartak York this year, had to get them done before the next Kickstarter gets delivered. (expected July)

Tiny featherd lunatic at the front to join the Hillfolk, a couple of amphibians for the old ones, and the Mole and Marmot Mercenaries. 

Baron Grimjaws City Guard

The last of the models from the last kickstarter (the City Guard) were finished earlier this month and here they are, Baron Grimjaws esteemed/feared/laughable red capes. 

I officially have no more B&B models to paint, so the next kickstarter is allowed to happen now, or I go about starting to fill in the gaps from the 30% of the range that I'm missing.

Extra Burrows and Badgers miniatures

So the extra models I got when I ordered the Dillendorf agreement are now finished, I always hate how the flaws really pop out when you get a picture, but you can't see them on the tabletop.

Just got the city watch to do now.  I was checking against the catalogue and I'm only missing about a 3rd of the entire catalogue, I have a feeling that may get rectified eventually, not all at once as it's still about  60 models. 

Did run out of white paint though, Carronade is close enough though that I can probably last until then and pick up more express colours on pre order and see what else is missing to find on the day. Might just have to get those Midlam wizards finished off (Finally!).

The next batch of the last kickstarter, the street gang. 

Just got some additional and the Town Guard to get done now.

Burrows and Badgers, Townsfolk

Onto the last kickstarter finally, these are the townsfolk of the New Castle. Looks like I forgot to put the Marmot butcher into the picture, but the rest are there, with the Town Guard, and the Squeaky Blinders still to be done.

I've still got those Midlam wizards to finish off (How many months/years is that now?) But I've got some Sisters of Battle from Raging Heroes on the desk just now alongside more of the 10mm Pikemans Lament, (onto the second army now)

This batch is the last of the models from the 2nd to last kickstarter, Dark, Devout and Heroic as well as the couple of additional miniatures I got about the same time.

Puffin Pirate, Beaver Deacon, and a Badger Ranger.

I think I may have had Von Wodr in a previous grouping, but here is alongside the Fox and Hare Knights.

Grub handlers to join the devout witch hunters.

The remainder, mouseketeer, and knights, Mole warrior, Rabbit Guard, and cat piper for the highland clans.

Witchhunters

More B&B it's taken a while to get these done. Long Covid really sucks, energy and focus levels just haven't been there to keep concentration long enough. Either way from the last kickstarter, here are some Witchhunters. 

I have no idea what will get done next, I've still got a bunch of Midlam wizards on the desk that have been there for months, same as the next Pikemans Lament unit, but I have some 6mm Epic vehicles to do as well and they're fairly easy so it might be them.

The latest batch, some of the extra's I got the last time. Still got the rest of the last kickstarter to go so cracking on with that and some more 10mm Pikemans Lament.

The Deathly Darkly Necromancer

The mantra, I will get them finished and photographed by the end of the year! 

 

So Presenting the Dark from the last kickstarter, (The Dark, The Devout and the Heroic) These were the easiest to paint, though just took a while due to all of the waiting on all of the full miniature bits drying.

This lovely little band of mist ghasts and revenants is led by the dastardly albino ratnomancer and his dark assistant. We've not tried the rules out for them yet in our games of Burrows and Badgers as we've started onto the Warren Percy Affair so it'll be a while before that happens.

Next on the desk is the start of my Amberian Hussars, otherwise known as a Kislevite Warband for Mordheim from Heresylabs. Once I've got a bit of space cleared I'll probably add a couple of random mini's from the pile in for some variety.

Last for this set is Kinlochshiels finest. Shinty or Burrowball as it might be called after testing.

 Another lot of wonderful miniatures from the last Kickstarter.

Another 2-3 batches about this size should finish off what I currently have, they are rather addictive to be fair, the models are seriously good.

'Fast' Eddie Stoatbart

 So while I've still got a bunch of posts scheduled to pop up with the other stuff I done during my time away from the blog, The first batch of models off the table since.

'Fast' Eddie Stoatbart and his hauliers. More Burrows and Badgers miniatures, the stoats come in 'mounted' and 'dismounted' versions, alongside the stoat with a blunderbuss, weasel rogue for some of that sneakier action and a certain Independent Trader for handling goods at either end of the journey.

The first models from the Kickstarter I picked up in York finally painted, these were a bit more recent and the Adder had been done from a previous Kickstarter,  But these are my crew for the Warren Percy affair. (subject to change with the whims of these things)

Well at least they will be once we get back to normal gaming at club.  I've currently got StoatBarts hauliers on the painting table just now, alongside the amazing Ferret Rogue and the mighty fine upstanding independent Magpie trader.

Burrows and Badgers 2nd Kickstarter

Well finally got them finished, it's taken a few months in among painting some Orcs which will be up next. The models as always pretty much paint themselves, they really are such a joy to paint. (Other than fur, but I think I've got the hang of it by now.)

I really need to sit down and try and find a space to take better pictures, the lighting in this house is awful but I don't have an outside area either.

So Oathsworn have this wonderful little game that Osprey published recently. We had always intended to use the mouselings for a Redwall type game, and this works wonderfully well. The last Kickstarter I got the full set, and with the new kickstarter up and paid for, I decided to try and get these guys all finished off. Still got bases to do, but I need to get more flock, tufts etc before I can decide that, likewise I'm not sure whether to paint the rims of the bases green or not.
